BIBELHAUSER, NICHOLAS JOHN SR., 81, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday February 22, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was a retired maintenance worker for Rohm & Haas Chemical Company.
He was a member of the Louisville Red Cross where he donated gallons of blood and platelets, a member of St. Josephs Children's Home, Mary Queen of Peace (St. Denis Campus) and St. Denis Alcoholic Anonymous Group. He loved golf, gardening, camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Paislee Bibelhauser; son-in-law, Richard Coombs; brothers, George "Bud" and Joseph Bibelhauser; sisters, Florence and Matilda Stuecker and Martha Boemker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley George Bibelhauser; daughters, Karen Dendinger (Larry), Barbara Dowell (Allen) and Joyce Wiedmar (Keith); son, Nick Bibelhauser Jr. (Stacy); grandchildren, Amy Calhoun (Alan), Charity Newton (James), Sherry Culler (Eric), Nicholas Bibelhauser (Angela), Matthew Wiedmar, Josh Dowell (Dottie), Josh Bibelhauser (Corri), Allison Wiedmar and Chelsea Bibelhauser; brother, Paul Bibelhauser (Carol); sister, Dorothy Greenwell; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 - 8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
