Helwig, Norma "LaVerne" View/Sign Guest Book HELWIG, NORMA "LAVERNE," 78, of south Louisville, passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2008 at Clark County Memorial Hospital. She was the former Norma Neagle, a former clerk for the U.S. Census Bureau, and a member of Larchmont Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Amelia Neagle; and her husband, Charles Thomas Helwig Jr. She is survived by her son, Tom Helwig; daughters, Karen DeSpain, Patricia Richardson, and Bonnie Wheaton; brothers, Leon, Ralph, and William Neagle, 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Helwig's life will be noon Thursday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
