Norman Morgan

November 18, 1916 — June 6, 2012

MORGAN, NORMAN, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Born in Wallins Creek, KY, he worked there several years as a coal miner, then, moved to Louisville where he worked the remainder of his career as a master carpenter. He was a member of Westport Road Christian Church, a 33rd degree Master Mason and past Master of the Old Harrods Creek Lodge, and a Kentucky Colonel. He had just celebrated his 75th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Ruby P. (Osborne), whom he leaves behind.

Survivors also include his sons, Bob, Damon (Carol), Mike, and Jim (Debi), as well as many nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 2-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
