MENEFEE, OPAL MARY (HAMLIN), 86, of Louisville went to be with the Lord Friday August 17, 2012 .
Opal was a native of Jackson County, GA. She is a member of Shively Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Holton Menefee; two sisters, Odgie Lucas and Thelma Borum; four brothers, James, William, Edwin and Eugene Hamlin; and son-in-law, Bill Waldridge.
Survivors include her six children, Pharis Waldridge, Sandra Rogalinski (Charles), Larry (Mary), John, Phillip and Greg (Karen); a brother, Rev. Olin Hamlin (Mary), of Eastman, GA; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 11 a.m. Monday.
Memorial gifts to: her church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Christopher East Nursing Home and all of her loving caregivers.
