LAWSON, OSCAR I., 80, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Signature Healthcare South.
He was a Marine in the Korean War. He had been a member of VFW Post #5421 and Past Commander of VFW #6182.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Nina Lawson; two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Shely Lawson, of 58 years; daughters, Becky Lawson and Robin Savchick(Tom); and grandsons, Blake and Graham Savchick.
A Committal Service will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Monday, 10 a.m. in the chapel. Visitation at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 4832 Cane Run Road, Sunday 2-8 p.m.
