WEIR, PATRICK F. SR., 87, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010, with his loving family at his side.
He was a retired warehouse foreman at National Distillers Corporation, member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree member of Monsignor Newman Council #4665, where he served as financial secretary for nearly 30 years, a 4th Degree member of Father Spoelker Assembly #2834, and a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Tena Weir; his parents, John and Annabelle Weir; a brother, John Weir; a sister, Florence Hettinger; and a great-granddaughter, Kathryn Bond.
He was a tireless, devoted spouse, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to golf, his Faith and his family brought him the greatest joy and pleasure.
He is survived by daughters, Patricia Bramer (Gordon), Nancy Henderson (Gary), Janice Martin (Steve) and Gail Jackson (Craig); sons, Patrick Jr. (Nancy), Bob (Viki) and Ron (Faye); 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Price.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mass of the Air or Hosparus of Louisville.
