He was a retired electrician for L&N Railroad.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Wilson Bryant; children, Paula Rhea (Glenn), Karen Minogue (John), Eric Bryant (Kim) and Amy Smith (Jimmy); two brothers, Ira Joe Bryant (Chris) and Jack Bryant (Margaret Ann); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, followed by burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society .
