Slusher, Paul Wendell View/Sign Guest Book SLUSHER, PAUL WENDELL, 69, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Meadowview Nursing Home. He retired in 1987 from International Harvester and was a member of the Louisville Baptist Temple and Masonic Lodge #951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lucy Slusher; his brother, Charles; and his sisters, Kathleen, Claretta and Faye. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Betheleen (Hood) Slusher; daughters, Judy Baril (Chris), Pamela Schmidt (Joe), Janice Lawson (Donald) and Karen Frank (John), of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Nathaniel Sowder, Allison, Bradley and Cassidy Lawson and Courteney and Nicholas Frank; brothers, Marion Slusher (Lucille) and Alex Slusher; and sister, Jeanette Dyche. The family would like to extend a big heart felt thanks to the staff of Meadowview Nursing Home and to Hospice & Palliative Care. His service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Her gift, working with people, especially children, will be deeply missed. Sybil was preceded in death by her husband, Arbra Slusher; sister, Telia West; and brothers, Grover, Dewey, Wayne, and Everett Hensley. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Angeline (Jim) and Thelma Wooten (Ray); brother, Rev. A.J. "Jack" Hensley (Pauline); sisters-in-law, Gertrude, Audrey, and Opal Hensley; and many nieces and nephews.
