PIKE, PAULINE EDLIN SKAGGS, 91, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at Summerfield Manor Nursing Home, Shively, KY.
She was born on July 16, 1919 in Lyons Station, KY, Larue County, to the late James Franklin and Mary Ruth Edlin.
Pauline was a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church and was a church hostess for over 20 years. She was a dealer for Stanley Home Products for over 50 years.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Taylor Skaggs Sr.; and her second husband, Oscar Ray Pike; her son, John Taylor Skaggs Jr.; three sisters, Martha Slack, Christine Robertson Vittitow and Della Mae Clemens; four brothers, Lewis, Gordon, Lonnie and Robert Edlin.
Pauline is survived by a brother, Owen Edlin of Columbia, TN; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Skaggs of Louisville; two grandsons, John Taylor Skaggs III (Tina) of New Haven and Stephen Ray Skaggs of Louisville. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven and after 9 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, Shively, with Brother Terry Stallard presiding. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens, Shively. Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, entrusted with arrangements.
