Peggy Ann Downey

Peggy Ann Downey, 76 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023, surrounded by her family. Peggy was born on March 20, 1947, in Morgantown, Kentucky.

Peggy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Highview Baptist Church. She was the office manager and bookkeeper for 32 years at True Cast Precision Castings. Peggy had a tremendous love for animals and was an avid Louisville Cardinal football fan. Peggy loved her family most of all was a dedicated wife, mother, and daughter.    

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Eulon and Pauline Phelps, granddaughter Sophia Monahan, sister Carolyn Sue Delaney and nephew Christopher Delaney.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, John, her daughter Kelly Monahan (Chris) and nephew Nicholas Delaney (Amber).

Visitation will be from 10am to 2pm on Friday, October 6^th at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216. Service will follow at 2:00pm.
