Peggy Stapleton

STAPLETON, PEGGY LOUISE, 80, born on August 5, 1929 in Louisville, and a resident of LaGrange, KY, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2009 Peggy devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and follower of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Fannie Smiser; and two brothers, Bill and Sonny Schneidtmiller.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband and friend of nearly 58 years, George A. Stapleton.
They shared four beloved children together along with their spouses, Roger Stapleton, Pam Little (Darrel), Marsha Ciolli (Gary) and Brian Stapleton (Erika). Granny was praised by her grandchildren, Heather Little, Heidi King (James), Megan Ciolli, Brittany Ciolli, Nicholas Ciolli and Hailey and Andrew Stapleton. She is also survived by her dear friend, Mary Ellen Lewis along with many other family members and close friends; and a brother, David Schneidmiller. Peggy will continue to be loved and truly missed by all.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W., Jefferson St., LaGrange, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation: from 2-6 p.m. Sunday. (www.oldhamcountyfuneralhome.com)
