JONES, PHILLIP "STEVE," 71, passed away Thursday May 16, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center.
Steve was born in Louisville to Clarence and Elnora (Roberson) Jones. He was the Owner/Operator of Jones Service Center (small engine repair) for many years, and a member of Lees' Lane Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Welsh; granddaughter, Jillian Snipp; and a sister, Judy Wayne.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn R. (Lykins) Jones; three daughters, Linda Snipp (Pat), Kimberly Gant (David) and Rebecca Sanders (Marty); 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; daughter # 5, Barbara Tucker (Rick); and son-in-law, Cliff Welsh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will Sunday 2-8 p.m. Online condolences: owenfuneralhome.com
