Phyllis Sherrard

SHERRARD, PHYLLIS ELAINE (GARRETT), 74, of Louisville passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Phyllis was a member of the Expressway Church of Christ. She was the former owner of It's Breaktime Restaurant and was said to be the best cook in the world.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Larry Dale "Red Dog" Sherrard; a daughter, Pamela J. Buckley; her parents, Jess and Bessie Garrett; three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her children, Raymond T. Bronger (Melissa), Paul A. Bronger (Ruth), Brian Garrett (Donna), Debra E. Barringer, Cynthia L. Bosemer (Shane) and Sheri M. Insley (Bobby); a sister, Jean Carter; a brother, Calvin Garrett; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a companion, Rock Ansert; and her dog Annie. She had a special love for animals.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9a.m. Wednesday.
