Ralph Newkirk

Ralph R. Newkirk, 80, husband of Alberta Atcher Woosley Newkirk, died Tuesday February 21, 2012 at his residence. Born in Mill Town, Ind. March 13, 1931 he is the son of the late Cloyd & Alberta Newkirk.
Mr. Newkirk was retired from Dupont and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Besides his wife of 44 years he is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sharon Woosley and four grandchildren, Matt Woosley, Rhonda Woosley Webb, Mark Woosley and Christopher Woosley. Four great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his son David Woosley.
A service celebrating Mr. Newkirk's life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Saturday until service time.
