Ralph "Cowboy" Michael Simmons, 72, passed away at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center on Saturday March 28, 2015. He was born to the late Nord, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Davis Simmons in Louisville on January 25 1943.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by daughter Monica Simmons-Smith, and four brothers.
"Cowboy" was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and a member of Young Guns Skate Club, formerly the Louisville Rollers. He retired from A & P Warehouse.
He is survived by his companion, Karen Henderson, children, Erica Nelson (John), Kelly Simmons (Sherry), Elaine Simmons (Domonique Mitchell), Stacy Simmons (Roger), and Angela Hill (Luther) along with grandchildren; Elijah Smith, Isaiah Smith, Erisha Simmons, Roger Warren, Randy Chavous, Tanesha Richardson, Jasamine Wilkins, Brandon Simmons, Clarire Simmons, Turquoise Simmons, Roger Williams Jr., Roddrick Williams, Joshua Robinson, Aliyah Hill, great-grandchildren; Ta'Nyiah Simmons and Brooklyn Floyd. He will also be missed by his siblings; James Simmons, Nord Simmons, Jr. (Ella), Kenneth Simmons (Jazel), Nordine Pierce and Marsha Brown.
