PIERCE, RAY EDWARD, 90, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East. Ray was a retired store manager for A & P Groceries, where he had 40 years of service, a member of Okolona Christian Church and a U. S. Army and Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ethel Martin Pierce; a son, Steven Ray Pierce; and partner, Greg Gould, of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Donna Pierce Hilbert (Ben), of Louisville and Sue Pierce Stasie (Ron), of Hebron, KY; a sister, Lottie Harmon, of Georgetown, OH; a sister-in-law, Margaret Pierce, of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Karey Neville, Jennifer Williams, Jackie O'Quinn, Cindy Stasie and Becca Stasie; great-grandchildren, Ethan Neville and arriving soon, Addison Williams and Aiden O'Quinn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 48 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Okolona Christian Church, 10801 Faithful Way, Louisville.
