Raymond Eugene "Ray" Miller MILLER, RAYMOND "RAY" "POP" EUGENE, 93, of Louisville, entered Heaven's Gate Friday, February 12, 2010 at Park Terrace. He is now reunited in Heaven with his loving wife of 68 years, Katherine Miller; and first born son, John Raymond Miller.
Born February 15, 1916 in Lexington, KY, he started in the grocery business at the age of 16 and later was drafted in the US Navy and served in World War II. He later moved to Louisville where he worked as a meat cutter at Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox for 30 years. He was a Valley Village little league baseball manager, coaching many all star teams. His hobbies included working on tvs; fixing and selling cars.
Survivors include his son, Richard Miller (Teri); daughter-in-law, Pat Miller; grandchildren: Matthew (Tiffany), Tracy, Lindsay, and Kelsey; great granddaughter, Jordis; and brother, Ralph Miller.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at noon at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 10907 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the service on Wednesday.
