PIERSON, RAYMOND J., 77, of Lyndon, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a 50-year member of the Kosair Shrine, Scottish Rite and AAA. Raymond was also an avid collector and member of the Louisville Area Daylily Society. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cecilia Pierson; his son, R.J. Pierson Jr. (Mary); and brothers, Bill Pierson (Mary) and Miller Pierson (Aileen).
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Highlands.
