CLARK, RICHARD E., 84, passed away Monday July 9, 2012 at the Robley Rex V. A. Medical Center.
He was born in Bowling Green, KY to Lannis P. and Flora (Horton) Clark.
Richard was a retired truck driver for Mutual Manufacturing and had been a member of Teamsters Local #89 for over 40 years. He also had been a "Greeter" at Wal-Mart.
He was a World War II Navy Seabee veteran, a proud member of Valley Station Church of Christ, a Kentucky Colonel, American Legion, V.F.W. and a charter member of the Valley Station Business Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Mildred Clark; a brother, Lt. Col. Lester E. Clark and his wife, Helen Clark.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Helen K. Clark; his daughters, Connie Bowlin (Eddie) and Danette Green (Tony); eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Barth (Carl) and Shirley Coker (Charles); 14 nieces and nephews; and his beloved Shelty, "Lady".
Funeral service will be noon on Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Friday.
