LAWRENCE, RICHARD C. "RICK," 50, husband of Laura Curtis Lawrence, son of Mary Lawrence and the late Richard T. Lawrence, died peacefully at his residence on Friday January 21, 2011, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rick was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local# 502, and for the last five years worked in the URS Group at DuPont. He was also an eight-year U.S. Army Veteran and retired after an additional 13 years in the Army National Guard.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his two sons, Richard Eric Lawrence and Jacob A. Lawrence; sister, Debbie Audo (Matt); and two brothers, Michael (Chris) and Gary Chapman.
A service celebrating Rick's life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society .
