MOORE, RICHARD E. "DICK," 82, of Prospect, KY, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011.

Born in Buffalo, NY, he graduated from Penn State University after serving in World War II with the Army Air Force in the South Pacific. After long employment with Reliance Electric in Cleveland, he retired from Porter Paints Co. in 1992. He was vice president of manufacturing and distribution in Louisville.

He was a lifetime member as a Senator of the Ohio Jaycees. He was also a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He spent many years in Louisville with Junior Achievement and was a board member.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. "Maggie" Moore; son, James R. Moore (Penny), of Louisville; daughter, Barbara Ann Austin (Glenn), of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Alexandria, Danny, and Craig; and eight nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with a private burial at a later date.
