Richard E. O'Brien "Obie" Share E-mail Visit Guest Book O'BRIEN, RICHARD "OBIE" E., 84, of Louisville, entered into rest Sunday, December 20, 2009.
He was a retired Army lieutenant colonel after 27 years of service, retired from HumRRO and a member of the Retired Officers Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice O'Brien; grandson, Richard E. O'Brien III; and son-in-law, Stephen Pregliasco.
Survivors include his children, Richard O'Brien II (Lou), Cheryl O'Brien, Bridgette Pregliasco and John O'Brien; former daughter-in-law, Nery Benson; Pawpaw had grandchildren, Heather (Greg), Matthew (Mindy), Katie (Vince), Christie and Quinn; and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caregivers from Spaid Nursing, especially Gail Miller.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hardy Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway, with entombment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
