KEOWN, RICKY DALE, 43, went home to our Heavenly Father December 28, 2013, at home surrounded by family and friends. Ricky was born to Jack Keown and Aline Keown (Cox) on September 14, 1970 in Louisville, KY. Rick was a service technician for durable medical equipment. He was an avid Kentucky basketball fan. He loved his dogs (Pepper, Kovoo, and Levi) He is preceded in death by his mother, Aline Keown (Cox); brothers, James Bailey and Jack Keown Jr. Rick leaves behind to cherish his memories, his father, Jack Keown; his fiancé of 12 years Carla Peters; one son, Chris Mosier and one daughter, Kasey Shircliff (Jeff); two sisters, Brenda Moran (Joe) and Debbie Whitehead (Archie); nieces and nephews, Brittany Karoly (Josh), Rick Catapano (Stepheny), Ashley Catapano (Lee), Lili Lawson, Cody Moran, Jessica Foster and Kalynn Peters; two great nieces, Rylee Hamilton and Maci Catapano. As well as many friends and family. A service for Rick's life will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy., on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with visitation on Friday from 3-8 p.m. Interment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Hwy., Louisville, KY Also we would like to thank the staff at Hosparus for their help in making this transition most comfortable for Rick and his family. www.newcomerkentuckiana.com
