91, passed away on September 30, 2014.
She was born November 3, 1922 to Roy and Mary Johnston. She was a devout Catholic and a graduate of Ursuline Academy. During World War II she worked at the U.S. Post Office in downtown Louisville and later at American Standard. She was everything you could ever hope for as a spouse, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William O. Howell; son, William Patrick Howell; grandson, Christopher A. Howell; her twin sister, Ursuline Sister Anna Mae Johnston; and sisters Dorothy Parle and Christine Monzello.
She is survived by son Greg (Patti) Howell of Crestwood, KY; sister, Mary Hibbs of Louisville; grandsons, Jeffrey L. Howell of Louisville and Steven Richardson (USAF) of Wichita Falls, TX.; granddaughters, Patti Griffin of Knoxville, TN and Jaime Davis of Stafford, VA; great-grandson, Christopher Fritter of Stafford, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Denis Campus, 4205 Cane Run Road, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is from 3 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road.
