Rita Elizabeth Logsdon

Rita Elizabeth Logsdon, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on September 29, 2024. Born on August 26, 1946, to the late Paul Alford and Ruby Bernice Durham, Rita lived a life marked by faith, love, and devotion to her family and her Lord.

 For 59 years, Rita shared her life with the love of her life, Michael Alan Logsdon. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, love, and togetherness. A devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother, Rita was happiest when surrounded by her family. She especially loved cooking for them and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

 Rita leaves behind a legacy of love, carried on by her daughters, Susan House (Steven), Cindy Mosher (Joshua), Paula Logsdon, and her son, Mick Logsdon (Shawna). She was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren: Sarah House, David Mosher, Jonathan Mosher, Alex Logsdon, and Samuel Logsdon, all of whom brought her immense joy.

 Visitation for Rita will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm, with burial to take place afterward.

 Rita will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

In honor of Rita’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to Hosparus of Kentucky, whose compassionate care allowed Rita to spend her final days at home, surrounded by family and friends.
