99, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Rita was born in St. Matthews on June 27, 1915 to John and Clara Kirchner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Richard A., sisters Vi Graham (Bill) and Rosemary Willet (Pick), brothers Paul (Ella) and Norbert Kirchner and a granddaughter Tara Michels.
Rita is survived by her daughters Judy, Bonnie Carter (Jim), Joyce Evans (Chip), sons Richard E. (Carol), Donald (Martha), Ronald (Kathy), Gary (Cynthia) and David (Linda); 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; brother Ralph Kirchner and sister Virginia Price.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at her church, St. Frances of Rome, 2119 Payne Street with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the care givers at Signature East.
