Robert E. Bennett "Bob" Jr. Share E-mail Visit Guest Book BENNETT, ROBERT E. "BOB" JR., 85, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his home.
He was a motor repairman for General Electric Co. and a retired maintenance mechanic of the University of Louisville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a former member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and a current member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Murphy and brother, John "Jack" Bennett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen Bennett; daughters, Susan Lish and Lisa Hendrickson (Ray); grandchildren, Craig Lish (Julie) and Daniel Hendrickson; great-grandchild, Matthew Lish; and his sister, Rita Baker.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas More, 6105 S. 3rd St., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr.
