ALVEY, ROBERT "BOB," 64, entered into eternal rest June 27, 2011.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Edna Alvey; and sister, Martha Benson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; son, Chris (Ginger) Alvey; stepdaughter, Cassie (Alisha); grandson, Chase; stepgrandkids, Katie and Kamden; brothers, Ray (Barbara), Aaron (Susan), David Alvey; and sister, Darlene (Bill) Sims. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 30 years of loyal service. Bob was a member of the Kentucky Colonels, and a lifetime member of the Pleasure - Valley Jaycees. He was an avid UK fan, and leaves behind two very beloved dogs Gracie and Tater. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. A service celebrating the life of Bob will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
