Robert Collins

Robert Collins, 91, husband of the late Dorlis Herbert Collins, died Monday September 3, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville.
Born in Nashville, TN. December 9, 1920 he is the son of the late Herbert M. & Elizabeth Smith Collins. Mr. Collins was the owner/operator of Bob Collins Realty and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II. He had also been a minister having received his divinty degree later in life.
Mr. Collins is survived by his daughter, Sharon Collins Keith, one son, Jim Collins (Susan) and the faithful love in his last years, Doris Felhoelter Collins. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Davis.
A service celebrating Mr. Collins' life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday September 6, 2012 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home until service time.
