GOSSER, REV. ROBERT B., 79, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Mr. Gosser was born March 18, 1933 to the late Bennie and Ida Gosser in Metcalfe County, KY. He worked for Ford Motor Company until he became disabled in 1974. He was a member of Coral Ridge Separate Baptist Church, and an ordained minister of the Nolynn Separate Baptist Association.
Robert was a loving husband, blessed father, wonderful papaw and great papaw.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents; and two brothers, Cecil and Melvin Gosser.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Gowelda Jean Gosser; son, Otis Gosser; daughters, Linda Underwood, Brenda Freelan, Glenda Green (Dean), Marsha Johnson (Bobby), and Patricia Gosser; sisters, Pearlie Wilson and Joyce Morgan (Roddie); brothers, Ralph Gosser (Wilma) and Isaac Gosser (Betty); 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy., at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
