Robert Jockell, jr

JOCKELL, ROBERT LEE "JOCKO" JR., 67, of Shively, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a retired painter for Ford Motor Company, a long time member of the Marydale Club, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores and his grandparents, Herbert and Anna Jockell and Ed and Lillian Luken. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Luken Jockell; his sister, Judith Ann Branham and her husband Charles; his dearest loving friend and companion, Donna Bierman Strohmeier; many very close aunts and cousins; and his many friends at the Marydale Club. His funeral will be held at noon Wednesday at Heady- Hardy Funeral Home, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marydale Club or Kosair Charities.
