SANDS, ROBERT V., 89, of Louisville, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011.
He retired from TARC as a bus driver and had also spent six years as Union business agent. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Nell Sands.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Irwin (Don) and Robert M. Sands (Barbara); grandchildren, Robin Murphy (Matt), Kristin Adams (Scott), David Sands (Caroline) and Meredith Irwin; and great-grandchildren, Connor and Maggie Adams and Caroline and Campbell Murphy.
His service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
