Smiley Jr., Robert Layne View/Sign Guest Book SMILEY, ROBERT LAYNE JR. "BOBBY", "BOB", "ROB", "RED", "LITTLE BOBBY", 29, loving son of Kathy and Ron Blanton, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at University Hospital. He was a Baptist by faith and a formerly devoted manager for Penzoil 10 Minute Oil Change. Robert prayed to Jesus Christ, loved his family ,master of his dogs Taz and King, dreamed of Mexico, feared by fish and loved by all. Robert died from a bone marrow transplant disease (GVHD). Waiting for him, by his Father, are Robert Sr.; his grandmother, Kathleen Robey; grandmother, Mary Blanton; grandmother and grandfather, Helen and Louis Smiley; great-grandmothers, Mary Buckler and Eddie Mae Drake; and many loved and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Leaving behind are his grandparents, Jim and Joyce Robey; his other mother, aunt Carrol Schmidloker; many loved and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; his most devoted friend, Alice Scifres; his best of many friends, to name a few, Cheryl and Tony Alcorn and Brian Clagget. His funeral will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
