He was born in Louisville, to W. R. and Celesta (Alcorn) Stettenbenz. He was married to Norma Jean (Peck) Stettenbenz for 58 years, she died January 26, 2002.
He was retired from the "Old" Belknap Hardware as head of will call, after 42 years of service, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of VFW Mill Creek Post # 5421 and American Legion Post # 220.
Survivors include his son, Charles D. Stettenbenz and his wife, Yvonne; and two grandchildren, Dana and Todd Stettenbenz.
Funeral service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Mausoleum. Visitation: Friday 3 - 9 p.m. Online condolences: owenfuneralhome.com
