TIPTON, ROBERT C. "BOB," 86, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at Thompson Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore KY.
He was a native of Etowah, TN, and a World War II Army veteran, serving in the China Burma Campaign, 1943-1945. He was a member of Highview Baptist Church, Suburban Masonic Lodge #740, Scottish Rite, Kosair Temple and a retiree of Phillip Morris Tobacco Corp.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Glenn Tipton.
He is survived by a son, C. Donn Tipton, of Sarasota, FL; a daughter, Mary Jo Tipton, of Altamonte Springs, FL; a sister, Eva Leach of Kirkland, WA; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
