VERNON, ROBERT A. "JACK," 82, of Okolona, was born April 1, 1928 to the late Jess and Ella Mae Rich Vernon and returned to his Heavenly Father December 10, 2010.
Mr. Vernon was a retired foreman for the old Reynolds Metal Company and a member of Sunset Masonic Lodge #915, Pilgrim Masonic Lodge # 545 F&AM and Okolona General Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy Miller Vernon; daughter, Ramona Andrews; son, Edward Vernon; grandchildren, Mark, Todd, Randy, Chris, Penny, Heather, Amanda and Hillary; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Louisville Memorial Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 2 -8 p.m. Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
