WELTER, ROBERT EUGENE, 73, of Louisville passed away on Tuesday.
He was born in Kansas City, KS. He was CEO and past president of the Lang Company since 1967 when he assumed the leadership role after the passing of his father-in-law. He was a member of Hunting Creek Country Club, the Quarterback Club, and the University Club. He was the past commander of the Louisville Power Squadron. He was a parishioner at St. Bernadette and Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches. Bob loved sports, boating, and spending time on his farm.
He is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 51 years; his children, Susan Welter, Julie Welter, James Welter (Evelyn), and Thomas Welter (Mimi); his grandchildren, Ashley Welter, Benjamin Welter, and Matthew Welter; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Smith; and great-grandchildren Luke Johnson and Jack Johnson.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road with private burial. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Louisville Orchestra or James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
