Roger C. Stear Share E-mail Visit Guest Book STEAR, ROGER C., 67, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was a native of Smicksburg, PA and the son of Lawrence Stear and Ruth (McCormick) Stear Fulton.
He was currently a bus driver for Jefferson County Public Schools and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Larchmont Church of God, where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a past chairman. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 89 and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a former Scout Master for Troop # 358 and was a former Volunteer Fireman with Dixie Suburban Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his stepfather, Frank Fulton.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Glenda (Edgin) Stear; three sons, R. Jeffrey (Shari), Brian C. (Sherrye), Kevin R. (Terrie) Stear; 11 grandchildren, Megan White (Billy), Justin Harmer, Chris Pearson, Mitchell Pearson, Chanelle Stear, Alex Zank, Annette Pearson, Jonathan, Chad, Anthony and Heather Stear; two brothers, Alvin Stear and Barry Stear (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.
