Rose Sample

Rose Mary Richardson Sample, 70, wife to Sherley W. Sample, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday January 17, 2018. She was born to Maurice and Mary Alta Richardson on August 9, 1947 in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she is also, preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Richardson Tully.
Rose Mary was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, she was 1965 graduate of Louisville Male High School where she excelled in the Glee Club, serving as president of the club during her senior year (64-65), and a private legal secretary for many years. Rose Mary was proud to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for 20 years.
Besides her husband of 45 years, she leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Marshall Sample (Jessica), Leah Tabler (Albert) along with grandchildren, Molly Sample, Haley Tabler, Lilly Sample, Ella Tabler, and Korra Sample. She will also be missed by her sister, Angela Richardson (John Dodson), niece, Amy Foos-Kapoor (Rajat), nephew Benjamin and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4400 Dixie Highway. There will be a memorial service on Saturday (1-27-18) at 11:00 am at her church St. John Lutheran Church, 901 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207.
