Rose "Marie" Thompson THOMPSON, ROSE "MARIE," 80, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was a native of Dearborn, MI, a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church and Chaplain of the Ladies Auxiliary Ritchie Trent Unit #148.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Thompson Sr.; daughter, Linda M. Drawdy; mother and stepfather, Juanita Loretta and Henry Bryan; father, Lawrence P. Mattis; grandson, Little Larry; and great-granddaughter, Rachel; brother Frank Bryan; sister, Shirley Dillon; son-in-law, Donald Hall.
She is survived by her children, Debra Hicks (Carl), Joe (Chris), Patty Perkins (Mark), Martha D. Hall, Cheryl J. Bickel (Mike) and Larry Thompson (Annette); brothers, Bill Mattis (Joann) and Tom Bryan (Cindy); sister, Darlene Gray (Bob); 28 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Cousin Mary and Aunt Edith for their love and support.
Her service will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (Columbine Site), 7718 Columbine Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
