He was a native of Cocke County, TN, a member of Ballardsville Baptist Church, a member of Fortitude Lodge #47 in LaGrange, KY and an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, the former Una Dunn; daughter, Vickie Wheatley (Jim); son, Stephen Dennis; grandchildren, Anne Tomasello (Jon), Kate Nye (Thomas), Chris Dennis, Kit Burroughs and Eric Dennis; and great grandson, Ender Wheatley.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stoess Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ballardsville Baptist Church or Hosparus - Hospice of Louisville.
