ESTES, ROY ROGER, 88, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Roy was a native of Cave City, KY, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had retired as a press operator for Reynolds Aluminum Company and was a member of Shively Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maydel (Pedigo) Estes; two brothers, William Estes and Elmer Estes Jr..
Survivors include his two children, Sherry Cummings (Jay) and Roger Estes (Kim); two grandsons, Josh (Chera) and Adam (Jenelle); and two great-grandsons, Cooper and Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after noon on Friday.
