Ruby Courson

Courson, Ruby L. View/Sign Guest Book COURSON, RUBY L., 92, of Louisville, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008. She was a native of Lee County, Virginia. She was a multi unit property owner and manager and a member of Walnut St. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber "Jack" Courson; and son, Bobby G. Elswick. She is survived by a son, J.C. Elswick; two sisters, Clair Woods and Naomi Howard-Vanoy; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held noon Tuesday at the O.D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 So. Third Street, with burial in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
