Russell Pierce

Russell Alexander Pierce, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011.
Born March 01, 1925, he is the son of the late Ernest and Media Firkins Pierce, he was born in Burkesville, KY and retired from GE as an inspector. He was also a member of Friendship Separate Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Imanell Crawley Pierce; and four brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Pierce is survived by daughter, Wendie Limb (Gary); son, Ricky A. Pierce (Pam); sister, Shirley; brother, Kenneth and half brother, Mark; four grandchildren, Johnathan and Christopher Limb, Nicholas Pierce and Jennifer Stevens; and eight great grandchildren.
A service celebrating the life of Mr. Pierce will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
