Ruth Allen

ALLEN, RUTH ANN (SMITH), 82, passed away January 15, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She had worked for Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital as a nurse's aide, she is a member of the Order of Eastern Chapter #273. She was preceded in death by her husband Evan Allen, and brother Ned L. Smith. She is survived by daughter, Mary D. Sego, Barbara S. Gaddie (Jack), Sharon J. Green (Kent), Donna L. Hallmark and Anita M. McBride (Steve); son Evan E. Allen (Arlene); 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother James E. Smith (Helen); and sister-in-law, Carol Smith. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will Sunday, 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
