FALT, "FERN" RUTH, 79, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2012 with family by her side.

She was born March 20, 1932 in Itman, West Virginia to the late Samuel F. Mozingo and Lula Myrtle Foster Mozingo and was a member of Middletown Christian Church.

She was a self employed seamstress, a volunteer for Hospice of Louisville, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Middletown Fire Department and edited tapes for the School for the Blind.

She is preceded in death by her five sisters, Melba, Marcie, Nila, Evelyn and Anita.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Phillip J. Falt; son, Robert P. Falt (Candy) of Powhaton, VA; daughter, Sharon R. Neville (Frank), of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Meghan, Loretta, Annie, Kyle P., Kyle M., Cody, McKory and Nishelle and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Neville and Ray Mozingo.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Pearson-Ratterman Bros. Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children c/o Middletown Fire Department, Middletown Christian Church or charity of choice .
