FERGUSON, SAMUEL LEWIS, 75, of Louisville, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he received the Bronze Star. He was past president of Greater Louisville Bowling Association, a member of American Legion Dixie Post 220 and Military Officers Association of America.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Rose Ferguson.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Ferguson of Yorktown, VA, Samuel L. Ferguson of Hanscom, MA and Margaret Ferguson-Basso of Newport NC; sisters, Ruby Williams of Appomattox, VA, Mildred Chandler of Gladys, VA; and five grandchildren. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.B. Ratterman &Sons-Grand Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday.
