Samuel Howard Maxberry Share E-mail Visit Guest Book MAXBERRY, SAMUEL HOWARD, 88, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Britthaven of Benton Nursing Home, Benton, KY.
He was born in Muhlenburg County, KY to Coy and Julia (Anderson) Maxberry.
He was a retired Driver for T.A.R.C., with 36 years service. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge # 915 F & AM and the Kosair Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Moriene (Pierson) Maxberry; a daughter, Joyce Evans; four brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his son, Danny Maxberry (Lockie); four grandchildren, Tommy Lynn Evans (Toni), Michael Chism (Crystal), Casey Maxberry, Kelle Wynn (Joshua); six great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis Maxberry (Betty); and a sister, Clara Mae Pogue.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday.
