Sara Elizabeth Pires, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 17, 1959, to the late Willam and Juanita Pollard, Sara lived a life full of love, joy, and cherished memories.
Sara is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Antonio Pires, with whom she shared a deep love for dancing and travel. One of her favorite destinations was Brazil, where she created many fond memories. Known for her warm heart and vibrant personality, Sara never met a stranger and was a beloved friend to many.
Her family was her greatest joy. Sara adored her two sons, James Edward Honadel Jr. (Kimberly) and Sean Paul Honadel (Jennifer), and took every opportunity to spoil her grandchildren: James Edward Honadel III, Serenity Faith Honadel, Madison Paige Honadel, Olivia Payton Honadel and her 3 bonus grandchildren Alden, Jacob and Emerie. She also shared a special bond with her two beloved dogs, Milo and Tito, who brought her endless happiness.
Sara is survived by her siblings: Wayne Elison, Dennis Lee, Diana Lynn, Stephen Ray, and William Daniel. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents and her siblings Gregg Pollard, Karen Hinke, Stella Easley, and Pamela Neff.
A retired analyst from Humana Health, Sara was a hardworking and accomplished professional who also found time to enjoy life to the fullest, dancing, traveling, and creating lifelong memories with her loved ones. Sara’s vibrant spirit, love for her family, and kind heart will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, with services beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the services.
