Shelby Ferguson, 89, husband to the late Ruby Byers Ferguson, passed away Friday October 3, 2014 at Park Terrace Nursing Home. He was born to the late Eleve and Flora Bratcher Ferguson in Ohio County, KY on September 1, 1925.
He is also preceded in death by 7 siblings.
He retired, after 33 years of service, from International Harvester; he was a WWII Veteran with the 101st Airborne Paratroopers and a member of Peace Chapel Church. He loved working on cars and singing gospel music with his family.
He is survived by his children: Shelby J. Burress, Rebecca Prewitt (Steve), Tina Borders (Larry), and Lisa Borders (Terry) along with grandchildren; David, Jason, Jennifer, Mitchell, Eric, Lee, and Sam. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and his sisters Alice and Yvonne.
